Every day we have to make choices, some more important than others. Sometimes
we are compelled to make certain choices and sometimes we trifle with
choices we made.
In the Bible we read how God's people had to make distinct choices. Joshua
24:15, for instance, says 'choose for yourselfs this day whom you will
serve'.
The text of the title track of our CD says: 'Will you live for Jesus,
or Him deny?'
The
Country Trail Band wishes to encourage each one who doesn't know Jesus
Christ yet, to get to know Him without delay.
Our Lord Jesus is ready to accept us as we are. 'The choice is all yours',
the song says.
The world in which we live is changing rapidly, but Hebrews 13:8 reads:
'Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever'.
We like to be an instrument in the hands of our unchanging Lord Jesus
and we pray that our music and ministry may help people in making the
most important choice.
There is forgiveness of our sins and salvation through our Lord Jesus.
There is, to quote the title of another track on this CD, 'An unchanged
message to a changing world'. The saving gospel of our Lord and Savior,
for anyone, is the running theme through our songs.
The Lord Jesus has come to find the lost and to call sinners to repentance
(Luke 5:32). And this is where we find that second aspect.
He’s got the way, or rather, He is the Way (John 14:6). The Lord
Jesus is the way by which we come to know the Father and by which we can
become really free. ‘We love the freedom since God has saved our
souls.’ What a wonderful message! Friends, there is salvation for

Back To The Country
Back to the country is
de titel van het nieuwe album van de Country Trail Band. Met
dit album gaat de Nederlandse band
helemaal terug naar haar wortels.
Een gedeelde passie voor evangelisatie
en countrymuziek leidde in 1985 tot de oprichting van de Country Trail Band. Een
jaar later verscheen de eerste LP met Engelstalige
countrygospels. Verschillende albums volgden, allemaal gevuld
met een mix van Amerikaanse songs en eigen nummers. In de
afgelopen 10 jaar heeft de groep echter voornamelijk
Nederlandstalige CD's uitgebracht omdat bij optredens in
kerken een grote behoefte bleek te bestaan aan liederen
gezongen in de moedertaal. De liefde voor de countrymuziek is
echter niet verflauwd. Hoewel country
music in Nederland al jaren op een laag pitje staat, is het in
Amerika nog steeds één van de belangrijkste genres en worden
er prachtige songs geschreven.
Een aantal van die songs is
te vinden op Back to the country,
waarmee de Country Trail Band
bewijst dat ook Europeanen country
gospelmuziek op een hoog niveau kunnen maken. De 19 nummers op
