Bass player and Country Trail Band manager Hans Steeds started in 1986 together with initiator Wim Pols, Ruud van de Meeberg and his brother-in-law Mijndert van der Beek, the Country Trail Band next to his other musical pursuits. The four had a mutual desire to express their ideals through ministry based performances.
In 1990 he decided to fully concentrate on his ministry in the Country Trail Band and stopped his other musical pursuits (at that time the family band Keep In Touch).
In his church (Volle Evangelie Gemeente Eljakim, Dordrecht, The Netherlands) Hans plays the bass guitar, piano, sings and is a worship leader.
Since 1984 Hans is married to Diana. They have five children: Toby (since 2010 marrie to Anne), Nathalie, Robin, Lisa and Joram.

Back to the country is
de titel van het nieuwe album van de Country Trail Band. Met
dit album gaat de Nederlandse band
helemaal terug naar haar wortels.
Een gedeelde passie voor evangelisatie
en countrymuziek leidde in 1985 tot de oprichting van de Country Trail Band. Een
jaar later verscheen de eerste LP met Engelstalige
countrygospels. Verschillende albums volgden, allemaal gevuld
met een mix van Amerikaanse songs en eigen nummers. In de
afgelopen 10 jaar heeft de groep echter voornamelijk
Nederlandstalige CD's uitgebracht omdat bij optredens in
kerken een grote behoefte bleek te bestaan aan liederen
gezongen in de moedertaal. . Lees
