New Year’s Message County Trail Band
Dear music friends,
The year 2006 was the busiest in the history of the Country Trail Band. We were able to do over 50 performances, including concerts in Scotland, Germany and the Czech Republic
Sales of our double CD ‘Country Gospel Classics’, released in 2006, were very successful and the other albums also continued to sell well. This enabled us to donate almost 10,000 euros to the evangelisation projects that we support.
We toured the Netherlands with US singer / worship leader Cathy Carter Heiser and helped Thecla Rutting with the recording and promotion of her first solo CD ‘Stories’. In conclusion, we produced three TV specials for the new christian TV channel Family 7.
We look back upon 2006 with much satisfaction. We clearly experienced that God blessed our musical ministry, which was evident from the many encouraging reactions to our performances and records.
We eagerly look forward to what awaits us in 2007. The agenda is filling up rapidly. In fact, so rapidly that the first half of the year is almost fully booked. It goes without saying that we like to pick and sing as much as possible. But combining the musical activities with a family and often still a fulltime job, poses limitations to what we can do. Within those boundaries we want to fully deploy our musical talents in God’s service by sharing the life-saving gospel of Jesus Christ with the people we meet.
Apart from the performances, we have other plans too. We hope to release a successor of the CD ‘Tel uw zegeningen (Count your blessings)’ in the first half of 2007. This time it will be a double album full of old, familiar gospel songs performed in our typical country style and with the help of several guest artists.
Furthermore, we intend to tour the Netherlands with US comedian, singer, entertainer, musician and songwriter Tim Lovelace in June 2007.
We hope to meet you again in 2007 at our concerts and we also hope that you will remember our ministry in your prayers. Where there are blessings, there are often also spiritual battles. So, we really need your support in prayer. We thank you for that support and we look forward to meeting you in the New Year.
Warm regards,
Country Trail Band
